My life lately

You blink for just one second and months have flown by before your eyes! Wow! So much has happened!

So my old family is officially moved in with our new family. For the most part we get along just fine, but at other times it's like we're a mini Cheaper by the Dozen family. We are a family of 9 with three large dogs! Ahh!

But I'm really happy that we are all together. All the pain and sadness is gone from my life, and I feel so blessed and happy that I have such a great family. I don't think any of my new siblings as "step brother" or "step sister". We are all just...family. I love it.

My biggest goal right now is saving up for a MacBook. I'm going to be home schooled next year and will need a computer when I'm touring over the winter and summer with my band. That's about 1,500 dollars and my needless to say my family is poor. Like, REALLY poor. It's sad, I know, but the economy these days is awful and business is slow.

So everything is in the Lord's hands right now. He's held my hand this far and I am certainly not letting go of it. :D Thanks for patiently waiting! I will try to update more frequently!

Time Flies!

Hello everyone! Boy, does time fly or what? I have a lot to catch you up on!

So...December 4th was the first anniversery of my dads death...I spent the afternoon with my mom and we talked about various things. It was nice to spend some time with her and talk about things that happened a year ago and how things will look a year from now.

I'm on facebook now! Thats one of the reasons I haven't posted in a while. :P So check me out there!

Christmas is coming and is bringing happy spirits to my household. I always love this time of year, its so warm and happy, it always makes me smile. I love seeing all of the Christmas lights!

Spend some time with your family this happy season and be very merry! Merry early Christmas!

Happy Veterans Day

Everybody celebrate! It's a day off of school and work! Time to spend time with your families! That's what I'm doing!

Did you know that my dad was in the army? I wear his dogtag every day. It was always fun to celebrate this day with him, it was like celebrating another birthday of his. It hurts my heart when I hear about childrens dads and moms that are in the war and how much they miss them. Dad was in and out of the army before I was born thank goodness, I'm glad that he didn't die in the army. I feel so blessed that I got to spend 12 years of my life with him. :)

So today is a day to hug all your family and friends that are veterans! Spend the day together!

Wow...November already!

Happy Hallowee-oh wait. Boy does time go by fast! :)

Greetings everyone! I hope everybody is making the most out of their days! I got my report card today! Hooray! I had all A's except for one B (darn math :P) and I am very happy! I hope to make the most out of this year. Last year was a mess as you could tell if you have been following my blog. So I am very dandy!

We are settled into Mr. Mike's house (my mom's awesome husband and my new dad!!!) correction- OUR house- and we just need to moves some more big things over. We HAD someone to rent out our old house but they cancelled so we are praying for someone to rent it out. Whatever God plans....

The family is great! We are getting along quite well and we all enjoy each others company and spend lots of family time together (movie nights!). God has truly blessed me and I feel very special with a big happy family around me.

I have been trying to download pictures of the wedding onto the computer but sadly, I am PC challenged (go Macs!) and have been having much trouble doing it, but they will come! Don't worry! :)

Praise the King-Most-High!!!

One Year Anniversary

In just one day, it will have been exactically one year since I started writing this blog. How cool is that? Looking back at my old posts, I realized how much God has guided me and blessed me through times of trouble. Now, my life is pretty sweet right now. School is going by ok, I've been laughing more often, and have been getting lots of rest without having to be woken up with a quick-paced heart because of nighmares! Celebrate! Hahaha so anywho thank you to all who have been with me this whole last year and someone of you even farther than that! Kudos to you all!!! :)

Crying over Lima Beans

Hey guys...just looking at some old pictures from touring last summer with the Kid Possible band...boy do I miss touring! Let me explain...last summer I toured around with a portable VBS (I'm not quite sure how to explain it!) and went to different camps teaching kids about God in a fun and silly way. I've probably mentioned it on my older posts in 2008 if you wanna check it out. Well, it's nearing the end of this summer and I haven't gone on tour at all. The reason is that God called me to have a healing summer for my dad instead of leaving and thats a good thing, but I can't help but miss all the fun summer memories that I had last year! *sniff* such great memories...I can't wait for tour next year....

Grief Camp Miracle

Wow....Grief Camp....it was amazing!!!! I was changed so much! It was fun, it was sad, it was happy, it was just so life-changing! My cabin mates were so cool (hi Kisa, Tabby, Shianne, Laci, Jessica, Miss Susan, and Miss Carla!) and I had a lot of fun with them! We went canoeing (thanks to my bad steering I was tipped out of out it!) and swimming and exploring and we painted memory boxes and rocks and we made dream catchers (thank the Lord I have been having a lot of nightmares!) and we had an amazing ceremony were we put lit luminaries onto a boat at night and pushed it onto the lake. I was crying. It was lifechanging. Buuuut Grief Camp was a week ago so I have to catch you up on a whole bunch of things!

I'm getting my tonsils out in two weeks! My mom and I went to the Doctor last week and he said that my tonsils block 90% of my breathing airway. Ouch! So I'm so psyced to get them out so I can breathe right! Whohoo!!!

I've learned a lot about integrity recently. I never really understood what it meant until now.

Integrity is a skill. Integrity is challenging just as learning how to jump rope or ride your bike for the first time. It takes training. You have to work on it for a very long time. You can’t inherit it with a bubbly personality. It’s a point of reference. You have to look at it as a guideline to help you through life. Integrity should go through all of your thoughts and actions in life. It needs to be built on honesty and truth. It’s a tower. You build onto it your entire lifetime to make it better and stronger. And, if it falls down its ok to pick it up again. You can always look at tomorrow for a clean slate. It’s hard to master integrity and you have a whole lifetime to work on it. You will fail, but you can always look at tomorrow for a brighter day. Integrity is like a seed. You have to plant it, water it, nourish it, and let it grow. You have to maintain it or the plant will fail. It has to be a constant day to day hour to hour minute to minute growing. Love is a big part of integrity too. It’s a binder that keeps everything in place. It holds it together and keeps it new. Honesty is also a big part of integrity that goes along with trust. With integrity, people trust you, and you have to be honest with them. Lying is a way of ruining the “plant” or “wall” that you are trying to build with integrity. Lying is a nasty way to loose trust in someone that you love and a way to ruin a relationship. Once you have lost trust, it is very hard to earn back. Lastly, integrity will set you apart from other people. People will taunt you for your integrity. But you have to stay strong to it. Hold onto it. Build it. Let it grow. Work on it daily. Integrity is doing the right and honest thing, even when no one is looking.

Writing that, it changed my life. It's good to know what Integrity is. I hope it helps you as much as it helps me. Ta ta for now!

Oh and I will add the pictures from Grief Camp as soon as I get them!

Grief Camp

Heeeeey peeps! Hmm....grief camp...doesn't sound that pleasing...if you could pray for me about going to grief camp tomorrow that would help a lot. I'm really scared. I don't really know why but the thought of grief camp horrifies me. I'm strange. But my counsler said that Camp Erin is fun so I trust her...I just have my fingers crossed! I'll make sure to show you pictures and tell you if I had a good time!

Anywho, life has been kinda good. I have been having a lot of nightmares lately for some reason. They started when dad died but faded away after a while and now they are back again (probably because of grief camp) and I have been having a bed headache. I need prayer for that.

But on the plus side I have been at church a lot which rocks 'cus church is always a great deal of fun! I love church! Church is my life! I grew up there and now I can't stay away from it! I want to be a pastor when I grow up or maybe a worship leader! That would be AWESOME!!! *sigh* In the meantime, I'm still just a pre-teen (almost teenager!!) with big dreams. I really want to start up a drama group at our church. We had something similar to a drama group at our church but it fell apart after the pastor that was in charge of it left (I miss you Pastor Dan!) so if we could start it up again that would be amazing! That's something to pray about!

So to sum things up, life is okay. It's not bad, it's not amazing, just, good. Speaking of good, that little surprise I told you about last post has gotten much, much greater! I can't wait to tell you about it when the time comes!

Go to http://www.mourningstar.org/index.php and click the link Camp Erin for more information about grief camp or look up Questions to find out more about grief. =)

July Surprises!

Greetings and salutations my friends! Transformed to be like Christ went off amazingly! There were over 1,000 kids there and over 100 accepted Christ for the first time! Praise the Lord! Being in the primary storyvillage was so much fun! Sadly, VBS it over, but I hope I can do it next year! Here are some pics from my storyvillage (I'm in the green shirt) from the first day.
Oh! Now July surprises! I don't want to tell you too much, but I'll just tell ya that you have something to look forward to this coming year! :)
Anywho, stay hydrated and have an awesome summer!!!!!!!

Summer is here!

Hey folks! The summer is here! Finally! School is all done for two months! You have no idea how psyched I am to not have any homework! Whoo hoo! The VBS (or as I should say, the Summer Spectacular!) is here! After I got out of school on Friday I have been working my rear end off getting the stage all fancied off! With the help of everybody, it looks AMAZING! My lines are really killing me though. there is such a great message to share with the boys and girls, but its so hard to try to remember all of your lines when they are paragraphs long! So, if you could, please pray for me about that so I can help the kids learn how to be transformed (that's our theme) to be like our Christ Jesus our Savior. The kids are amazing, they are so much fun to be around. Plus, I love the people I'm acting with! This summer is going to rock! Our Lord is so amazing!!!!

Retake

OK now I think I should write more....yes, I've been really sad lately. Yes, that's why I have been absent from school a lot. I really think this grief is affecting my health, that's why I have been sick a lot. I really need some internal healing to take place, but I'm also filled with reassurance. I talked to an amazing person in the school nurses office (sick yet again!) and there was this boy in there that I had heard about from a teacher that had also lost his dad. I got to talk to him and he gave me amazing advice! I would have never guessed that a guy as cool as him could be so understanding. I felt like he was the only person in a long time that wouldn't stray away from the subject about my dad, plus he was comforting and understanding (no offense to all my friends!) and I was in awe. Thank you so much, you know who you are. You really took a major burden off my chest.

Ummm...

Uhhh....Hey everybody...I guess I haven't really blogged lately....I've been ok....lifes still pretty hard...but oh well...its all in Gods hands so I'm not that worried. I trust him! I'm actually getting happier the more I'm typing this...I just love writing...it brings out a lot of stress...Anywho hello out there to all my friends! I hope that you are having a good day!

The Anger Is Building Up

Hello again! These past few weeks have been really tough. I've just been really frustrated lately. My last report cards were...ouch. And my cheerful self hasn't really been showing. I just feel like a little kid if ya know what I mean...unimportant. I'm getting a counsler soon and she is pretty cool. She goes to my church and is a ball of fun. Hopefully I can talk over some things that have really been bugging me. i've been journaling to and have been kicking the soccer ball around in the backyard. I'm hoping for the best!

The Journey Is Over

8:20 Thursday morning my dad passed. He is in heaven now. I wonder what he is experiencing right now. I wonder what friends he is playing with. He is in peace. Think about it.
